A religious fanatic and a Christian. I write poetry and occasionally stage plays. I began writing around 2018, captivated by the style of Arseny Tarkovsky, though I only took it up seriously in 2022. I write occasionally, trying not to squander my creative energy. I learned to play the guitar earlier; before 2022, I used to prefer musical notes to words— but then something had changed.

Одни охотно ложились
под поезда,
другие —
падали с маху в блиндажи
и крыли зеленкой дот.
Кто хотел бы прожить
сóвестливо,
не вы ведь
в колючей проволоке видели
струны и листы для нот,
и как будто держали
ответ вы
впервые,
под дребезжание цинка
и сбивчивый грохот ломóв.
В русском слове — замах,
удар
и вывих;
каждый — сам за себя,
против всех будет Бог.
Прошло время фланга
и фляги,
отныне —
стоит довериться только
марле, финке, фугасу.
Теперь, вместо трóсов —
жил канаты
мылить,
и — на прощание можно
услышать: "здравствуй!"

Bio
Egor Zavadskiy (born October 11, 2002, in Novokuznetsk) is a theater director, educator, poet, resident of the "Literary Salon" project, owner of the "АКМ" online bookstore, and co-founder of the "Fevral" collective of independent authors (2024). He is a former improvisational guitarist.
